For this project in Utrecht, Global Bouw was commissioned to transform a completely shell-state building into a modern, luxurious, and fully operational restaurant. In just three months, we delivered a complete fit-out: from a professional kitchen and ventilation system to interior design, custom-made furniture, lighting, terrace setup, and an eye-catching façade sign.

From Shell Space to a High-End Restaurant

When we took over the building, it was in a completely bare condition. No interior walls, no installations, no technical infrastructure. In close collaboration with the client, we developed a comprehensive concept in which functionality, gastronomic workflow, and aesthetics come together.Based on this concept, all disciplines — construction, technical installations, and interior — were aligned. Within three months, the empty space was transformed into a warm, richly detailed, and technically advanced restaurant ready for intensive daily use.

Professional Kitchen Installation

One of the most important parts of the project was the installation of a fully equipped professional kitchen, featuring:

• stainless steel work zones

• industrial ovens, warming systems, and cooling technology

• efficient routing in accordance with hospitality standards

• HACCP-friendly finishes

• integrated storage and preparation stations

In addition, a complete professional ventilation system was installed, including extraction hoods, air ducts, fire protection, and air supply units. The kitchen meets all modern hospitality requirements and is designed for high capacity, fast service, and continuous operation.

Interior Design & Custom Finishing

The restaurant interior was fully designed by the Global Bouw team. The style combines warm materials, luxurious finishes, and dynamic lighting elements that give the space its own distinctive identity.We delivered, among other things:

• custom-made furniture and upholstery

• decorative walls and ceiling panels

• acoustic and fire-retardant materials

• luxury flooring finishes

• a custom-built bar installation

• atmospheric indirect lighting throughout the building

The suspended ceilings and integrated light lines play a central role in the final result. They provide depth, warmth, and an exclusive appearance, while aesthetically concealing the technical installations.

Terrace & Exterior

In addition to the interior space, Global Bouw also designed and constructed the complete summer terrace area, consisting of:

• robust terrace layout and furnishings

• outdoor-grade lighting

• weather-resistant furniture

• safe and stable flooring elements

At the front of the building, a striking signage board was installed, fully integrated into the restaurant’s overall design and made of durable materials suitable for the Dutch outdoor climate.
